Frank Clarke

Clarke was one of the best full backs during his generation while playing the game. He commenced his professional football playing career with Newcastle United, starring in a team featuring the likes of Bryan pop Robson and Wyn Davies and he was instrumental in helping the club win the Fairs Cup in 1969. His brilliance at Newcastle soon earned him a lucrative move to Nottingham Forest in the mid 1970’s, at Nottingham he helped Forest win the 1978 European Cup.

Bobby Moncur

Moncur made his debut for Newcastle as an 18 year old in a tie against Luton in 1963. His spell at Newcastle started off as a mixed bag and he proved to be a slow developer at the club. Towards the late 1960’s his game rapidly improved and he became known as the ‘supreme sweeper.’ He was installed captain of Newcastle in 1968 and helped the club win the Fairs Cup in 1969. His career playing for Newcastle spanned 11 years, in total notching up 296 appearances for the club. He finished his career off playing for Sunderland and then Carlisle.
