Paul Gascoigne


Gascoigne started his career with his local club, Newcastle. He was incredible for the club, terrifying all his opponent in all different areas of the field. In 1988 he moved to Tottenham for £2.2 million. At Tottenham he was inspirational during his debut season, as his great performances helped Spurs finish in 3rd position at the end of the season. Gascoigne was outstanding during the 1990-91 campaign as he helped carry Spurs to winning the FA Cup.
Gascoigne moved to Italy to play for Lazio in 1992 before moving to Glasgow, to star for Glasgow Rangers. He finished his career playing for Everton and then Burnley.

 

Mirandinha

Mirandinha was one of very few Brazilians ever to play for Newcastle United. He signed for Newcastle in the summer of 1987 for £575,000 and made an instant impact at the club. He was a flamboyant player who relished the big stage. His time at Newcastle was hampered by injuries, however he scored some spectacular goals during his Newcastle United career.
