Andy Cole

Cole started off his career playing for Bristol City, earning 41 appearances and scoring a prolific 20 goals. In February 1993 he moved to Newcastle for £1.75 million and this proved to be money well spent by the club. In his first season he scored 12 goals in only 12 matches, helping Newcastle to promotion to the premiership. The 1993-94 season proved to be a great one for Cole, he became one of the most prolific strikers in the world, scoring a staggering 34 premiership goals and in total 41 including cup matches. He surprisingly moved to Manchester United in 1995 and continued his goal scoring run their. He also had spells playing for Blackburn, Manchester city and Fulham and is currently playing with Portsmouth.

Robert Lee

Lee established him self in the Charlton first team during the 1985-86 season and became a permanent fixture in the side since then. He signed for Newcastle United in 1992 after seven seasons with Charlton and he made an instant impact at the club. Lee was an integral member of the side which challenged Man United for the title for much of the 95-96 season. Lee is very much a cult hero with the Newcastle supporters, spending a total of ten seasons at the club during his era in Newcastle. He was regarded by many as one of the best attacking midfielders in the country and earned international recognition with England. In February 2002 Lee moved to Derby County and ended his career with spells at Oldham Athletic and Wycombe.

 

Micky Quinn

Quinn spent the majority of his career playing as a striker. During his time in English football, he made a name for himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the English league. He began his career playing for Wigan between 1979 and 1981, he later on had short spells playing for Stockport and Oldham prior his move to Portsmouth. At Portsmouth he was in prolific form up front, scoring a staggering 54 goals in only 121 appearances. In the summer of 1989, he moved to Newcastle United for £650,000 and that proved to be money well spent. During his three year spell at the club, he averaged over one goal in every two matches, scoring 59 goals in 115 appearances. He later on had spells playing for Coventry and Plymouth Argyle. He has scored over 225 career league goals.
